About Me
***This is an archive of my journalism portfolio - last updated in 2021 - I have since transitioned to data science - check out that portfolio here***

I'm Editor in Chief of Michigan State's award-winning, independent student media organization, The State News, cultivating expansive, multi-platform readership growth, revamping audience engagement and centralizing diversity efforts through piloting data-informed content analysis, hiring and source tracking initiatives.

In March 2020, I became a MediaWise Voter Project Campus Correspondent, guided by The Poynter Institute for Media Studies, where I crafted and refined a training presentation about telling fact from fiction online reaching hundreds of first-time voters alongside advocating fact checking tips and tricks on TikTok and Instagram.

My written work includes enterprise stories about Michigan's political, environmental and economic future with Capital News Service and city council beat coverage with The State News.

Before stumbling into journalism, I was on the MSU Debate Team competing at major tournaments nationwide ranking in the top-40.
As an editor for both city and campus news, I assembled the leading coverage for East Lansing's local elections and coordinated rapid response reporting about Michigan State's administration, academics and student life as the COVID-19 pandemic began to reshape public life.
